- Driver Responsibility: All drivers must comply with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Vehicle Inspections: Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections are mandatory. Any defects must be reported immediately.
- Accident Reporting: All accidents, regardless of severity, must be reported to management within 24 hours.
- Seat Belts: Drivers and passengers must wear seat belts at all times while the vehicle is in motion.
- Drug & Alcohol Policy: 302 Logistics maintains a zero-tolerance policy for drug and alcohol use. Testing is required per DOT regulations.
4. Driver Responsibilities
- Maintain valid CDL and all required endorsements.
- Maintain accurate logs (paper or electronic as applicable).
- Follow route instructions and company procedures.
- Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding delays, vehicle issues, or safety concerns.
5. Hours of Service (HOS) Compliance
- All drivers must follow DOT HOS regulations.
- Drivers must log duty status accurately.
- Breaks and rest periods are mandatory to prevent fatigue.
6. Vehicle & Equipment Policy
- Only authorized drivers may operate company vehicles.
- Company property must be maintained and kept clean.
- Cargo must be secured properly to prevent accidents or damage.
7. Hiring & Employment Policy
- 302 Logistics hires qualified drivers with valid CDLs, a clean driving record, and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Employment may be terminated for repeated violations of company policy, unsafe driving, or failure to comply with regulations.
8. Communication Policy
- Drivers must maintain communication with dispatch during working hours.
- Emergency contact numbers must be shared with management.
- Company email or app messages must be monitored and responded to in a timely manner.
9. Ethics & Conduct
- Drivers and staff must act professionally and respectfully at all times.
- No discrimination or harassment is tolerated.
- Confidential company and client information must remain secure.
10. Compliance & Audits
- 302 Logistics undergoes periodic DOT audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Drivers are responsible for cooperating during audits and providing required documentation (e.g., logs, vehicle inspection reports, driver qualification files).
11. Acknowledgment
All drivers and staff are required to read, understand, and acknowledge this policy manual. Updates will be communicated as needed.
